A while back you might recall I was debating joining the local gym. I really wanted to because I wanted access to a pool. I’ve always loved to swim, but running has been my main form of exercise for about 12 years now and honestly I can’t think of doing anything different.

There are numerous reasons that I love to run: gets my blood going, calms my mind, enjoy the silence of the early morning, love the way that the body feels purged when it is all over.

This is not going to be a happy, upbeat post about marathon training.
I’m pissed off.
I started long distance running several years ago, just a few weeks after miscarrying. I thought I was 11 weeks along, was still sick as a dog, and went in for a standard u/s only to find out the baby had [...]

I ran at 5:20 AM after eating half a [...]

That’s not to say that I don’t enjoy my ice cream from time to time, but I’m telling you every night after dinner I reach for the chocolate chip cookies my daughter and I made the other day, and I eat [...]

So yesterday I did my 15 miler. I have to say, I was nervous going in. Not that any runs have been bad. I don’t hit that wall I’ve heard about. I do hate the last three and a half miles, but it is an ugly part of the run , and I think [...]
